Geographic Information System or GIS is a widely underused teaching tool that is now available online! ArcGIS Online which was made free by Esri in 2014 is available to any K-12 school throughout the country. ArcGIS Online can be used in the classroom as a way to engage students in spatial thinking and real-world, inquiry-based projects. This webinar discusses the use of these tools and will review details of how K-12 schools in the United States can get access to ArcGIS Online through Esri’s participation in ConnectEd initiative. Learn how online GIS can be used in your school through this informative webinar.
