Summary:

From kelp beer to seaweed salads, the public’s appetite for sea vegetables seems to have grown exponentially over the past few years. N.H. Sea Grant and UNH Cooperative Extension staff members are collaborating to develop new expertise and educational opportunities to keep up with the recent uptick in demand for growing, harvesting and eating seaweed in New Hampshire and beyond. This Story Map provides an overview of all their efforts and includes resources for more information.
